Warehouse Managers Direct Outstanding Production

In a matter of a few years, a small company’s demand for products exploded into a multi-million dollar enterprise. The paper and pen tracking technique used in their original shipping warehouse was no longer a sufficient way of managing orders. This growing demand meant a growing number of shelves and products. Employees raced around frantically searching for products, shuffling through papers and marking thousands of sheets for records. Adding to the confusion were difficulties in determining if products were truly out of stock or just unable to be located. In short, managers began to feel as if they were running a three-ring circus. So, these forward-thinking executives decided to replace their 20th century procedures with a 21st century solution. That’s when InfiniEdge entered the scene with a technological pitch complex enough to satisfy the company’s many needs, yet simple enough so that even the newest trainee could step into the part of the super-efficient, power employee. By dreaming up a specialized mobile application using scanners, InfiniEdge helped get this company out of the tightrope act and positioned it center stage for outstanding production!

The cast of big thinkers at InfiniEdge developed a state-of-the-art mobile app that streamlined the order tracking and shipping processes and harnessed a variety of important functions into a handheld mobile unit. Easier to use than a remote control, this high-tech tool allows employees to see new orders instantly just by touching the screen. Not only do the mobile units display an image and the quantity of the product needed for an order, but they automatically guide the user through the warehouse shelves in the most efficient manner. In addition, the application displays alerts to prevent errors or omissions if the user mistakenly pulls an incorrect product for an order. This is all carefully designed so warehouse directors are ensured that their crew never misses a beat.

InfiniEdge also devised an innovative process to create blockbuster success on an affordable budget by cutting costs on shipping backordered items. The handheld unit instantly alerts the warehouse manager’s dashboard if an item that is currently in stock is marked as backordered. This allows staff to locate the item for this order and begin to restock the shelf all before the order is even finished processing.

After learning the average time it takes to fulfill an order, InfiniEdge created an alert function within the on-site monitors that notifies managers when any order takes longer than expected to process. Now, specific warehouse slow-downs can be immediately addressed and resolved, allowing production to go on smoothly week after week. Incorporating InfiniEdge’s customized mobile-application means warehouse maestros have the power to direct the company straight to the top. It’s this happy (and lucrative) ending that turned a potential production problem into a smash-hit!
